Beating caused miscarriage.....

Long story short, a friend of mine was 5 months pregnant when she got jumped coming out of a store by another girl who did not like her. The girl gave her so many blows to the stomach she lost the baby.
Shouldn't this girl be charged with something more then just assault and battery, since the life of my friends unborn child was taken?

She should be charged with more than just battery, but unfortunately under the law her unborn child is not a life until after it is born. You know that whole life begins at birth not conception crap. I feel horrible for your friend. What the h3ll was that other girl thinking?

Yes, she should be charged with something.
Things like this will continue to happen until someone makes takes a stand against it.
This scares me as I have daughters and to be frank, society is not safe enough for my little ones to grow up in. What's odd is that if I get involved, I am considered to be over protective or blowing things out of proportion.
