When we play with baby, we used to say/act something to make them cool and smile. My baby is 5 months old, I used to say some rhymes / stories repetatively everytime i am with baby. And my wife used to say, baby used to see the same pics for sometime after i leave home. Is it ok to say repetatively the same rhymes / stories to 5 month babies

Yes, most definitely. Repetitive things are great for babies and even young kids. In fact, as they get a little older they will like doing the same things over and over again, hearing the same stories, singing the same songs. This is good for learning!

Yes, rhyme and repetition are good for babies and children. That is how they become familiar with the stories and songs. Notice that most children's songs, stories and nursery rhymes are very repetitive, that is because it is a great way for them to learn. Continue to repeat the same rhymes, and maybe add a new one once in a while. You will find when she gets older she will probably ask you to sing the same songs or read the same stories over and over. They like the repetition because they can predict what will come next.

i think its ok to do things repetitively with babies and younger kids. this is the best way to teach them- thru repetitions. although, it would not hurt them to be exposed to new activities as well. you can let her feel different tactile sensations and your wife can even perform baby exercises with him/her. This will make help in improving motor skills.
