Born as Corrinne Foo May Ying in Singapore last January 19, 1973 she was Singapore's premier songstress and a very passionate singer.
If you have watched the movie 'So Close' that stars Shu Qi, Zhao Wei and Karen Mok she was the voice behind the Bacharach song 'Close To You.' Her rendition took a very prominent mark to those who have watched the movie. That's where I first heard such a very nice rendition of that song apart from the original singer Karen Carpenter. Since then, I became her fan and collected her albums. Unfortunately, that song clip with her voice rendition was never published in any of her album nor does the soundtrack of that movie carries her rendition. It was Karen Mok who does the album soundtrack rendition of the same song. But the one sung by Corrinne was a superb one. Up to this day, I haven't found that 'full song' rendition of hers. I only got movie clip backgrounds of her version. So if anybody of you who got Corrine's version of this song 'Close To You' I will be forever indebted if you will give me a copy.
But nevertheless, Corrinne's albums carries the same sultry voice she had and I'm a fan who never gets tired of listening to her.
Where you also a fan of Corrinne May? Any input on her would be gladly appreciated. Thanks.

Really? she did that version? I have to see that movie again then.
I am also a fan. I love Corrine May's songs because of the moving lyrics and the beautiful melodies. I just discovered her music by accident 10 months ago, while searching for a song titled "Fly Away" by another artist. After hearing the song, tears were streaming down my face. It is very seldom that a song can move me to tears, but hers is just -- touching.
I am currently checking out for updates about her on her blog. :)
