Often I don't remember my dreams but I have for the last couple of days. I dreamed that I got put in Prison for three years. All I could think was that my teenage son would be 16 and my toddler son would be four by the time I got out. I felt upset because I thought I was innocent and wrongly convicted. Last night I dreamed that I was doing a Maths test and writing a story. The story kept going wrong and the paper was very poor quality. It was such a weird dream and I guess both are anxiety dreams. My dogs have to be kept separate at the moment because my male dog makes my female dogs life miserable trying to jump on her. My parrot had his claws and beak trimmed and he has been less steady than normal so I am worried about him. I love my pets. I am having difficulty getting to sleep in the evening now.
What you you do to improve the situation when you have bad dreams?

When I am dreaming in the evening,it seems that I know that I am dreming .And when I dream a nightmare,I 'll do my best to wake up.But,I like to dream .Because I could do what I couldn't do in the true life, even eat what I like to.So,sometimes ,dreams are colorful for me.I like it .I am a liking-dream girl.

i seldom have dreams or maybe it is just that i seldom remember them upon waking up. i have a friend who seem to remember everything that she dreams during the night. day after she would tell us what she dreamed of, sometimes it was entertaining other times weird. the one thing we request her to dream about are the numbers for the lottery draw. she never dreamed of it... i guess it does not work that way. hehehe ^_^

Hi maximax8! I have heard some people say that there are hidden messages in dreams. dreams are trying to tell us something but I guess, I am no expert in interpreting my dreams except for the fact that I know if it is a bad dream or a good one. Anyway,I think you are right that what causes you to have bad dreams is because of the anxiety or emotional stress that you have been having now because of your pets. Maybe, if you will address that issue and resolve it soon enough, you will be able to relax and can have a good night sleep. I hope you will have a good night sleep tonight and not dwell on those bad dreams of yours my friend. Be optimistic and have faith. In the meantime, maybe you can listen to nature's music or what they call the white music, such as the sound of the ocean..hopefully, this will help you relax.
Take care always..God Bless!

To dream of a prison,is the forerunner of misfortune in every instance,if it encircles yourself. But,to see one dismissed from prison, denotes that you will finally overcome misfortune(I'm glad you dreamed getting out of the prison )
To dream that your are writing, foretells that you will make mistake which will almost prove your undoing. To try to read strange writings, signifies that you will escape enemies only by making no new speculation after this dream.
Exercise regularly,I tell you it's best when done before dinner, but not too close bed time.Avoid caffeine and nicotine especially afternoon.Get regular exposure to late afternoon sun.Practice yoga or meditation.I hope this will help you sleep well... I wish you good luck and God bless you,cheers...

Some people say that dreams has its own meaning. Well for me, some of my dreams do came true. If you had a bad dream and woke up, try drink a glass of milk or a warm water will do and try to sleep again. Here in my country there is a saying that if you had a bad dream, just bite to any kind of wood (whether if it is a tree or just a furniture) in that way, that bad dream would not come true.

hello. this is my first time to respond. i just had a nightmare the night before last night. i woke up suddenly and sat straight for 5 minutes and began to cry. i don't want to memerize the contents of the dream. it is useless.
in my opinion, maybe you need a good rest for some days. sometimes, dreams are hints in your mind. sometimes, they are just some pictures processed and mixed. try to do something you are very interested in, or give yourself a chance to travel in other cities or towns. they will help.
before you sleep, have a cup of milk. :)good luck!

Isn't it weird that we seem to remember and recall with ease our bad dreams and yet the good dreams are easily and quickly forgotten! I used to have terrible nightmares especially when I had left my ex, they were awful ones and would leave me feeling depressed all day, I also found that antidepressants gave me nasty dreams too so I quickly stopped them they weren't helping me anyhow and the GP said there was no point me taking them, the side affects were terrible. I find it hard to sleep at night because my mind is constantly on the go and won't shut off! I go to the gym 5 times a week which help me mentally and physically and I don't get the nightmares now, occasionally I might get one but thankfully once in a blue moon.

most of the time my dreams are my fears (just this morning i dreamed that i was falling off a cliff.... random i know). So what helps me is thinking about positive things in my life when i am trying to fall asleep.

Well I simply don't dwell on it because it is just a dream it is not real and rather than worrying about it. Why don't you focus on real concerns that bother you. Dreams are reflections of our minds and maybe you worry too much that's why you have bad dreams. Just stay positive and maybe the bad dreams would go away.

When you take a shower before going to bed, make it warm. The eat bananas, it is believed to enhance the sleeping ability. You can also listen to soft music while in bed. It is believed that music soothes the nerves and makes you fall asleep. If you would like to read to help you go to sleep, sit down comfortably with our back firmly supported. If still you can't sleep, then count sheeps on your head (lol) . If you have a teacher, yoga is most recommended, but since you've got none, then just practise to breathe deeply for several minutes. All the best.
