How many days before you choose a best response?

Do you always choose a best response for your discussions? Who benefits from getting this check mark notation on the discussion? Are there any extra points involved? The site mentions to wait a few days, so can someone tell when the best response has been noted on a discussion and then members would no longer comment because of this? I don't understand the whole system of the best response and would like to know what experienced users have observed and learned on this subject. Thanks for any insights and advice.

Hi there , nice to met you , I leave my discussions for at least a week but usually 2 , I used to give my best responses within a couple of days , then more responses came in and I often wished I had waited , If I have quite a few I try to clear some of them before the payments are due to go out , to be honest I am not sure if it helps the earnings , but a friend advised me to do this so I always try too , Some people give them after a few days but I think its nicer to leave it , others wont leave a response if the best response has been given ( I still do anyway ) I hope you are enjoying My Lot . I love it , I am addicted lol xx

I donn't choose the best response by the counting of days. i choose only when i get the answer of my discussion. of course someone benefits when they get best response, their eraning of particular response increases little bit.

When I first joined mylot, I waited about a week to choose "Best Response" but then some of my discussions received well over 100 comments and it was just too hard. Now I wait about 2 days unless I see that I am getting over 25 comments then I choose my "Best Response" sooner. I think that when you are awarded best response, you get paid double for that comment. I read this on another discussion I make sure that all my discussions are solved by the end of the month so eveyone can make the most money that is available to them.

marking the best response is necessary. it lets you make good friendships and to keep them. for instance, if you response is marked the best one by someone else, you will feel like making that person your friend, as both of you may have some things in common. and in that case, you may put the notification on in the friend's profile and you will get a notification whenever that friend opens a discussion and you can post quality responses to those discussions. it doesn't necessarily mean that you mutually mark best responses, but once you build such a good circle of friends, chances are that you all pay attention to one anothers discussions, resulting in a better quality of postings and responses. there would be more chances that some of such friends will find a few of your answers and give you the best response marking. this way, your stars and earning capability increases. i usually wait for two weeks to mark my best responses, except when i get a huge number of responses to a post in a single day.

It depends. Sometimes I don't select a best response at all because I haven't gotten any really good ones, but sometimes I will select the best response on the first day if I get one that is hilarious and exactly what I am looking for/very informant.

I don't have a ton of experience, but I give the best response to whatever response I like the best after a few days. I don't know what rewards come from this or if it is just the satisfaction of knowing you were the best response. I still respond to discussions that have been given a best response and I don't respond to discussions that say "the first person to guess this right gets best response!". I don't know if any of his helped, but good luck!

I do not use a set time period because it all depends on the amount of responses and the level of content. If a discussion has been an inactive one for a week or so then it is obviously time to make a decision, otherwise I simply wait until I receive a response that deserves the accolade.

Sometimes the only response you get from a discussion isn't worthy of even posting a comment. I usually let it wait until I get at least 2 pages of responses before I choose which one is best. In the past I would choose from the first page of responses. This proved to be hasty on my part as later on I would find a more appropriate response that should have been chosen as best. At that point I would comment on how well written the response is and hope that other's read the response.

I will mark best response if I find one that I really like to begin with. But I have waited a few days. Some even longer than that.
