When I was still a child it never came to me that maybe someday I would learn to love writing. Writing has never been my passion. Yeah, I do read books though but it's not that often. I sometimes read books if I do feel that it's been quite a while since I've read one. It's my way of not making my brain stagnant because I always heard that aliteration rate is going high faster because of the latest technologies that we have. When I graduated in high school, i was so confused on what course to take in college. My friends and I tried to apply for a scholarship to shed some of our parent's burden in financing us to proceed to college. During the interview, I was so confused what course to take not knowing that both my friends decided to take journalism. Not knowing what to do, I decided to follow what my friends decided to take. I was really scared when I was still a freshman because I might not like journalism and if I decide to shift to another course that would mean that I'll lost my scholarship and I just can't afford that. When we started taking major classes it was then when we were required so much write ups and field work. We do interviews, write case studies, invetigative reports and name all reports whatsoever that you can think of. It was really challenging. And everytime we are tasked to write something our instructors would always have an assessment with our write ups and how we are going through each day. This is also a way to test if we are improving or not. Along with this we were given some tips in writing. It was then I realized that writing is not bad at all. However, one thing is for sure, it needs passion because without it, you would be able to provide good write up. This was the start when I started to dream of having to publish my own book someday. Then myy friends and I bought a notebook and we started to draft a story. We actually continue it for months. everytime I look at the notebook it was as if I was able to write a book though we haven't finished the story because my friend moved to another school and our communication was cut off. And until now, though am already working working and I don't really have that much time to sit for a long time and write a story, I still dream of publishing my own book someday. Well, there's nothing wrong with dreaming though. And hopefully this dream will come true... :)

why be frustrated? haha.. i write poems, and other stuffs too. most of the pieces i came up with are almost crap. haha. still, i do what i want, WRITE! it's a way of expressing one's self. just like dancing for some, and singing for others, and even painting to a few. yes, you need passion. because without passion, no matter how good the words you use, the emotion won't be there. :) just keep doing your thing, and keep enjoying it, never let your love for it wane :) go, go!

Thanks for that! Sorry for the late reply, I just read your post now. Yeah you're write. Writing is really a way of expressing one's self. Don't worry though I'm a failure of being an author someday, I will not stop my passion for writing. I love it and nothing can stop me for that. Don't say that your write ups are crap. It's a reflection of what you feel during the time when you wrote that piece. It's a master piece. It reflects your feelings and thougths so it's precious. Don't say that. It took you some time to make one so don't say it's a crap. You should be proud of it. It so hard to make poems, you know. Anyway, that's another reason why I find mylot interesting. I can write whatever I have in mind. and I'm earning as well. Though I don't really have the time and convenience to do it since I'm also working. But if I have the time I will really check mylot from now on.

There's nothing wrong with dreaming. I dream of publishing a book myself. Unlike you, I don't have the writing skills to do so. I never took a journalism course. I just write whatever I feel like writing, in a style of my own. I don't think it's that fantastic. Maybe you can give me some writing tips. I do publish my articles online. That's about as far as I go. Writing a book will have to hold for a bit because I don't know what to write about.

Hi! I just read your post. Sorry for the late reply. I don't really check mylot that often. It's really good to hear that you love writing as well. You don't really have to know the technicalities of writing in order for you to be able to write a story. Wht's important is that you have the passion to write. That the most important thing for me because without that you wouldn't have the patience of putting your thoughts into writing. Writing whatever you have in mind and doing it in your own style is a good one. You don't have to follow rules. Each and everyone of us has our ow way of presenting a story. As we all know, each author has their own tone if you've noticed. That tone will be the factor why readers will be able to distinguish us from other writers. Since you have been wrting down your thoughts, I'm pretty sure you'd be able to write a book someday. I know you will. Yeah, I'd be very happy to give you some writing tips that we used to follow back in school but I suggest that it's still better to do it in you own way. I'll give you some post on the writing formulas that I used to have someday. Till here as of now...Thanks for responding! :)

Thank for the respond. I just read your post. Sorry for the late reply. Honestly, I haven't been to any of the libraries lately. I don't have the time and convenience. I'm working. That another reason why I don't really have much time checking my mylot account. I really appreciate the advice. I'll try to visit the site as well. Thanks so much for that. I'll take that advice. If I have the time I'll go to a library and look for books about publishing. Thanks for that. Well, it's just frustrating to know that I'll never be one...hahahahahaahah! But hopefully thing will turn out the other way. How sad, hmmp...I don't like to think about it anymore. Thanks so much for taking some time reading my posts.
