Have you taken hunter saftey? Never to old to take it!

I signed my son up for hunter saftey and the parents had to go with to the first class. I sat and learned for three hours. So I though I miles well take the class with him after I sat there for three hours. I like to go hunting but I have never carried a gun. I always help drive the woods and just like being outside. So this year I will be going after I am done with the course. I am the only mother but what the heck why not! Have you had hunter saftey? How old were you when you took it?
