Follow what I say, Don't follow what I do...

We teach our children good values. We let them learn polite ways of doing and saying things. But sometimes, we don't do what we teach them. i got a two years and six months son. Every time I see him, I can see how he does everything on his own, so right. I am sometimes worried. I taught him to return everything he touches or uses in the right place. And he always does. Here, what I see in him now is that he became possessive-compulsive. He cries when someone touches our belongings, everything! One day, he reached for something on the table. Accidentally, he'd caused his empty feeding bottle to fall on the floor. He immediately pick it up and carefully put it in the right place and in the exact position! He didn't even leave the table until he had satisfyingly put the thing back in its place. Sometimes I'm thinking if I've taught him so much. Do you have any experience or experiences similar to mine?

Hi there blind_eyed
My eldest son always says things to me like, mummy I want to drive a car like you, or I want to watch this film but I say no because it is a 12 certificate and he will say well you watch it. He says this about something nearly everyday, he is 7 and wants to grow up too fast. The only thing I tell him is that he do what he likes when he is 18!!

lol! Yes, I guess I would tell my son the same when he's older enough to understand. He's just 2 years old.

Yeah, right! They definitely becomes more curious when you tell them not to do it.
