I usually climb a mountain without stick. But once I climb a mountain quickly because it would be dark 3 hours later. When I went down the mountain I was very tired and my knees were ache. I knew I need a stick and tried to find one. But I failed becouse there was no stick tough enough. I promised if I climb a mountain next time I will prepare a stick.

I don't use a stick when I climb a mountain. I walk up it and find that quite easy compared to walking down it when my knees ache and my legs get tense. Perhaps bringing a walking stick might help me on my next walk down a mountain. Often the ground near the summit is quite challenging so if I am holding on I worry what would happen to my stick. I came down a mountain in New Zealand using the route for experienced climbers which I am not. Oh my! It was incredibly steep and the walk down was extremely nerve racking. Maybe a stick would helped me that time I was in a hurry rushing down the mountain.

it depends upon the age of the climber & the steepness of the mountain...if ur a yngster or teenager then you dont have a prblm but if ur a elderly person arnd 40 or so u mite defntly need a stick...
