I know it helps. Hehe. But I would like to know your opinion in regards to learning hardware when computer science is all about software.
To be honest, it came to me as a shock that I had to undergo these type of subjects so that I can proceed and graduate eventually.
What can you say? Can good programmers be good computer engineers too? What situations do programmers have to know a knowledge or two about computer hardware?

Yes it is really helpful to learn subjects like computer hardware especially when you are planning to become a programmer and will be creating softwares with different purposes. Sometimes you have to create softwares which do access different hardware, or incase of game programming you have to first detectgraphics screen resolution and stuff. So I say it is really helpful. I myself am a student of Computer Science.

I'm also a Computer Science student too. :)
Anyway, since you are a student yourself, what were your first expectations before you enrolled for Computer Science? To be honest, I did not expect that I would also have to deal with the computer hardware and I was really shocked because I think I would have difficulties about computer hardware. And actually, right now I'm having a hard time learning Assembly Language.. :(
Thanks for your comment. :)

Assembly language is very low level language that is why you are finding it difficult. But don't worry if you learn it then you will find high level languages very very easy.

i'm also a computer science student..i think computer hardware does help us computer science students...we have this subject that i realized how hardware would really broaden our knowledge in software..you can't fully appreciate also programming without really seeing it work on computer equipment and peripherals..

yes it will helpful for learning hardware because when you try to learn the answers for every topic there will be topics related to hardware by these you can get the hardware knowledge the learning microprocessors can also help to learn about the hardware programming.
