Do you believe in "Reincarnation"?

Sometimes I think that our family members, friends, colleagues and people that cross path with us in our life, are somehow related to us in our past life. Perhaps, we are reincarnated or rebirth in this life, but still within the same circle of people we used to be with in our past life...what do you think?

I do believe in reincarnation. What you are in your next life reflects upon what you did in your previous life.

Me too...the seeds planted yesterday will bear the fruits in the future. In Buddhism, the karma and effect are strongly emphasised. It might be easier for most Asians to grasp these concepts compared to Westerners, as these concepts are really abstract. Anyway, I've created this discussion out of curiosity of what others might think about it. Many thanks to everyone who contributed your thoughts here.

I don't know the Bible doesn't say anything about reincarnation, but I kind of hope so; because I think we all need another try at it. Only one man got it right the first time (Jesus). So for one I hope I get another chance to get it right.

THAT is a cool way of thinking about it! I loved reading, "Only one man got it right the first time (Jesus)." As I was reading that line I was actually thinking WHO? WHO ever gets it right? Then I read "Jesus"...and I actually smiled. I love when I get a chance of amazement and simple clarity! THANK YOU for sharing!

No I do not believe in reincarnation because I am a Christian and my scripture tells me Hebrews 9:27 man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment,

I don't know if I actually BELIEVE in it...but it is fascinating to think about. It sure makes life interesting...to think that we might be in this particular life to learn something which we did not learn in a precious life... The people in our life now are present for us to learn from and to teach. WOW! That is mild-boggling yet so interesting. I sure HOPE that this question is answered when we "move on."

I do belive in reincarnation and I think it's god for other people who really want another shot in life that they can have that. I also belive that you have the same interests in all your lifes

Buddhists and Hindus believe in reincarnation. Buddhists particularly emphasise the fact that men and women are destined to come back to the circle of rebirth again and again and undergo the same dukkos (sorrows) in life until they are able to attain Nibbana. Over two thousands and five hundred years ago, prince Siddharth Goutama left the place and meditated for six long years to become the Buddha, enlightened one. He found the way out of the circle of rebirt, which is called the Eight Noble Path.
