Let them know that you understand how tradition goes and you are not trying to hurt them by going against your wishes. I know you want to respect your parents, but you are an adult now and they must respect yours as well. Its a tough situation. Im sorry you are going through this. I wish you the best.

Try to talk to her parents and tell them you both love each other! What is the reason that they are against it?? If they still disagree, then run off and elope. It's not her parents decision. It's between you and your partner!
