Have you ever been on the computer all day or at least for a couple of hours and feel like you haven't accomplished anything?
I have been on the computer for at least a couple of hours, I was just fooling around looking at videos and reading articles. So it wasn't like I was trying to accomplish anything really.
Now, though I want to go on the money websites I am in and make a little bit of money. Although I am kind of tired of being on the computer and I feel like I need to. My head doesn't really hurt or anything I just feel like I need to get off the computer, I feel like my eyes need a break.
Why we do always feel like we need to accomplish something? Or do you not feel like that?

Hello there o2bnocn, I think being humans, we have a certain tendency to always strive for the better or best. I have during certain times, just stare profusely and blankly at the screen and not getting any sense of what I'm doing at all. Seriously, and that makes me kind of burned out. On another issue, during my writing breaks, where I just surf the net, I have this 'writer's block'. Like during my reviewing moment or during my blogging moments, for that matter. And that would be so frustrating for me, and when I check the time, it has been like 1 hour past by just like that.
So I get what you mean...and at the same time, deep down inside, I would ask myself, wouldn't it be great if I have accomplished this and that and etc...

Hi o2,
that is very common to me..Like this time, I eat lunch since I am skipping it for the past few weeks, so I ate in front of videos...after eating, I know I need to work mylot and the other site i found to reach my goal but here I am watching videos and searching for more..LOL!
But, this is not often...just once in awhile! SO, I know myself needs some break from daily routine!

I know what you mean. Yesterday was a break from my daily routine. I usually spend most of my online time on the money websites, yesterday I only spend a little bit of time. I watched videos and just browsed. I think from not doing it in so long I got carried away. Plus you never really realize how long you have been on the internet to begin with. Before you know it you have spend two hours on the computer!

thats what I did today. i was on the computer all day. so much so that my eyes hurt right now. I kept checking random websites and posting on mylot. i was literally glued onto this chair. hey, nothing better to do! and besides its summer, everyone can be a little lazy during the summer break. i didn't accomplish anything but im ok with it. no need to be an overachiever everyday.

Yeah my eyes started to hurt yesterday as well. I have noticed that on some websites it happens quicker than others. I think it's the colors that they have set up on them. I was on mylot for a while yesterday but not that long, I did a lot more fooling around yesterday than anything. I hadn't just browse the web in a while so I guess I got carried away.

I am almost the same with you .When I get up in the morning ,the first thing I do is to open the computer.I spend a lot of time on the computer like chatting with friends, playing computer games, watching videos.Sometimes,I find it is really boring, but I can not help myself to do these things.Maybe we need to do some sports in real life instead of surfing the Internet. In my opinon,we don't need to care too much about how much we achieve on the computer because it is just a way for us to relax.

I can't help but to get on the computer either. I think I am addicted . It's almost the first thing I do in the morning, I usually eat first then get on. I would like to start taking a bath or a shower before I get on that way I have that out of the way, I would also like to start cleaning before I get on the computer that way I have that out of the way as well. I would like to just start getting on the computer and be done with my other things. I probably won't be able to get on as much once I start school.

Rarely do I ever feel like I have done nothing whilst being on the computer for a very long time. Everyday, there is work to be done and sometimes some of that work is carried over the next day. It is strange how the human mind works, but its just a need for human to accomplish something every time they do something. This is very true for me, every time I intend to do something online or in the real world, I'm usually aiming for a goal. I rarely do things without reaching a goal, with a few exceptions.

Yeah almost every day that I get on the computer I try to accomplish something. I rarely ever just browse around and not do anything, I think that is why I got carried away the other day. I think it is good in a way that we feel like that but also bad in a way.

OMG!!! Yes i have. When i first started college. I would get up early and do all my chores and get the, out of the way (I am a neat freak and love for everything to be in order). And after doing that, i would take care of business online or just browse through the internet for fun. But there have been times when i was online that i just got caught up, and didnt realize how long i had actually been on the computer. When that happens, i just sit and think to myself.....like my goodness...did i really spend all this time on the computer? But it is so true...time flies when you are doing things or something that you enjoy.

I like things to be organized but I don't think I am a neat freak. I have my times when I am lazy and don't organize things. I need to start doing my cleaning in the morning that way I don't have to worry about them and can just do whatever I want later on in the day. I guess time really does fly by when you are doing something you enjoy, or at least when you are on the computer. Yesterday I didn't even realize how much time I spent on the computer until I looked at the clock.
