Are you a pet lover? What do have? What are the things that you do to you pamper them? Below are a list of ideas I found on petmedications dot com site. See if you are doing some to your pets. Here’s a list of 10 ideas: 1. Keep a toy chest for all your pet play things: This is a good one since pets have so many
toys that people think I must have children in the house. I leave out three toys at a time, maximum, and rotate the toys as the pet get bored. Each time a new toy comes out of rotation, they think it’s brand new.
2. The Art of Massage: Everybody loves a massage and pets are no exception. There are many books available about how to give your dog a massage or how to give your cat a massage. Once your pet’s emotional balance has been restored, you’ll want to make sure they maintain the proper relaxation level to prevent a relapse. Pet massage may sound funny at first, but there is substantial therapeutic value in a properly applied rubdown. Massage helps reduce the pets suffering from arthritis, slipped discs and even more serious conditions.
3. Make a doggy/kitty scrapbook: Creating a scrapbook is a wonderful way to preserve your special memories. The best scrapbook pages help loved ones to actively imagine the moments you are trying to capture. By combining favorite photos, mementos and written anecdotes, you’ll create a priceless book that tells your unique story for generations to come. REMEMBER there is no wrong way to scrapbook! Like including his/her hair from his/her first grooming.
4. Give your dog/cat a nickname: You know he’s already got one anyway. It may as well be official. Frodo responds equally well to Frody, Little Dude, Freakface and Goober. Have a special name for your pet when he is good and when you are proud of him. He feels special and boosts his self esteem by giving him a special ID Tag.
5. Brush his teeth: Pets love their tooth brushing sessions. There are many toothpastes with different flavors like Beef, Malt, Poultry with their own special pets toothbrushes (made for their softer enamel). Once done brushing, let them gnaw on their brushes a bit. Also have tartar-control pet biscuits and flossy-thread rope toys. No one should have to deal with bad dog breath.
* Breath & Dental-Care Treats for CATS & KITTENS
* Joint Treats® (60 Soft Chews)
* Yip Yap - Breath Fresheners for Dogs (1.4 oz)
6. A Walk:Go for a walk. The two of you will bond through this fun activity. It is safest to exercise your pet in the morning or evening, the coolest times of the day to minimize the risk of heat illness. Your pet’s health is very important and there are many ways to keep your pet active and healthy.
7. Buy doggy/kitty accessories: Try hand-knitted sweaters and booties. Getting your pet a gift on a specials day would make your pet smile. There are many pet accessories available both for dogs and cats like dresses, glasses, neck tags and a nice beautiful bed they can sleep in.
8. Play with your pet: A nice activity with your pet will make your pet’s day. Cats love to play with moving objects, pretty much any small light weight object. They will chase it, stalk and pounce on it, bat it with their paws, practicing the necessities of life. Dogs love to run and fetch, so it’s quite easy to give them the exercise they need. Dogs are very prone to arthritis and swimming is a no-stress sport.
9. Upgrade your Pet’s Bed: A place where you pet can rest and enjoy his beautiful nap. Special bed made just for your pet that fits with this personality. Every dog/cat needs a quiet place to call his own. Create a comfortable area, whether a crate, a mat or a pile of blankets, for your dog/cat to go to when he needs rest or privacy.
10. Treats: Special treats made with great ingredients and lots of love will find a special place in your pet’s heart. Whether for treats on the road, a picnic or just hanging around the house. Treats help promote healthy skin and coat. There are many treats that include Glucosamine, Creatine & MSM that helps keep joints healthy and dogs happy.

Hi Muelitz,
What a great list for your pamper pets, I have two cats but they are 10years and 9years old and they behave like young cats, they have their favourites places because they never stay in one place for long they just sleep whereever they want and their toys are kept in one place, at this moment my female cat is asleep on my husband's arm chair and my Tom is sleeping upstaires in the spare room now.

Well I would have to say that my cat Rags is very pampered and spoiled. He is just like a child to me. He has his own bed, although he rarly ever sleeps in it, he has all kinds of condos to go into to play, has a windo seet to sit on to look outdoors, as he is strickly a indoor cat. He has more toys than most children I know..He has two differant bowls for treats. He even drinks water out of a cup ,he likes ice in it!He does not like a pet carrier so I trained him on a leash.I sometimes take him on vacation with me.I take him for rides in the car.He loves to lay on my computor desk by my mouse..He eats the most expensive cat dry food, science diet, but also has to have soft food as well.

My husband and I spend almost all of our time at home paying some atetion to our pets. The only time we don't is when we want to be intimate, and lock them out of the bedroom. We don't need them jumping up on us during the "wrong moment." We pay them a lot of attention, and feed them their favouite foods. We have alway been big pet people.

My dog is sooooooo spoiled, she even knows the sound of the ice cream truck coming, and knows she will stop here for her to get a vanilla ice cream cone. She also knows what 'plain cheeseburger' means, from Burger King. She usually sleeps either in bed with us, or on the couch, she weighs 80 lbs. not a small dog. she loves going camping with us, and loves going to the river for a swim. She also gets to play in the water hose. She always has her jar of treats full, and will let one of us cover her eyes while the other hides her treats, then she goes and finds them. She has her own toy basket, where all her toys stay and will go pick out which one she wants to play with at any given time.

She also has two scrapbooks that I have done for her since we got her at 8 weeks old. I love looking back to the first days we had her at home with us.

Wow! Okay, here goes:
1. I keep my dogs' toys in a box and rotate them just as mentioned. It's so cute to see them with "new" old toys from the box! You'd think it was Christmas morning!
2. My dogs let me know when and where they'd like to be scratched or rubbed. They roll over on their backs when they want their tummy rubbed. They stretch out in front of me on their bellies when they want their backs scratched.
3. Scrapbook? That's going overboard! I have pictures of my pets, but I keep them with the other family photos.
4. My dogs' formal names are Lady Penelope and Lady Lillith, a.k.a. Penny and Lilly, a.k.a. Pretty Girl and Cutie Pie. They understand the last two, but look at me like I've lost my mind when I call them by their formal names.
5. Pets love their tooth brushing sessions? Where does this person come from? Another planet? My dogs hate it. I've tried to brush their teeth since they were tiny pups, but they never liked it. I have to have it done at the groomer's.
6. They love their walks! It's good for them AND for me.
7. Accessories. I'll admit I've gone a little nuts here. I don't usually have my dogs wearing anything and usually it's only when it's cold outside. I have Maltese and they have no warm undercoat so they get cold very fast. I always put a sweater or coat on them when they go out in the winter. Of course, I've seen some adorable T-shirts and bandanas that I couldn't pass up. Also, I always made my kids Halloween costumes and I miss that since they've grown so I do it for my dogs. Okay, they each have ONE costume. I'm not COMPLETELY nuts!
8. We play all the time! Maltese are very dependent and very playful little dogs. They're always coming to me with one toy or another so I'll play with them.
9. They sleep wherever they want; usually on my bed. They weigh 5 and 7 pounds, so they don't ask for a lot of room! I tried a 'doggie bed' once and they didn't go for it.
10. I give them healthy treats every day. They have to earn them, though. Even if it's something as simple as sitting when I say "sit".

Hi my friend,
My five dogs are spoiled and pampered. The have their own basket for their toys and it's so cute to watch one of them prance over there and pick out a toy.
My two small mini-schnauzers have their own beds. They sleep with me at night but during the time I'm awake, they'll nap in my office in their beds. I have a big lambs wool type thing that the bigger dogs take turns using.
They have like 5 different treats that they get during the day when they come in from outside. I try to buy the healthy kinds with lots of vitamins and vegetables.
They are very well treated!

We have a guinea pig and we always make sure that he is happy and he is fed well. We always gave him fruits too and we always choose the best carrots for him. He is really quite spoiled he even uses our own shampoo when he takes a bath and he has his own toothbrush to clean his teeth.

In our house dog and cats rule. Dog has a special bed on the floor and 2 or 3 times a night she barks to be covered up. One cat sleeps on each side of my husband and if he gets up to early in the night they tell him about it. Each animal has it's own feeding station and food requirements. And as if the house animals were not enough we have 17 Llamas outside that are just as spoiled. There is no empty nest thing around here.

We have a pet dog here, his name is Rocky. His breed is pitbull and it's know to be one of the deadliest animals since it locks his jaw whenever he bites. Rocky's very friendly though and very easy to please. We just scratch his tummy and he'd lay on the flor with his feet raised.

I love my pets. I take care of a lot of neighbor's cats, adopted some of it. Well I feed them healthily. Cats are generally clean so I don't have much worry on cleaning them or grooming. In terms of my dog. Well, my first intervention was for him to get a shot for anti-rabies.
