A Weird and Disturbing Question

Yesterday i watched something about cannibalism. How our ancestors at one point ate others' children to try prevent the evolution of farming, and how in 2 situations the eating of dead humans was done so they could live through sever circumstances. It made me wonder, oddly enough, if i was in a situation where my life and those of the people around me were in danger of being snuffed out by starvation, would we resort to eating the dead already there? I want you to picture this: Your lost from half of your original camp, with you is your children and your partner and possibly a few other companions. It's winter, the animals are in hiding from the severe weather and after hunting as much as possible you find there's nothing left and people are starting to die of starvation in your group. Your responsible for feeding your children. If your last resort was seeing those corpses and using as small of an amount as possible, would you resort to eating a human? Strange question to ask, i guess but i really wondered what people would do in such circumstances. At the moment the idea of doing such a thing is horrific, we have food at hand and fresh water, we have homes whether it's a mansion or a small shelter. But if we didn't, would you do this to survive? and just how far are you willing to go for your life and your families?
