My uncle brought some steaks to us for dinner. How do you like your steak?

He also brought some bleu cheese crumbles. So I was thinking of slicing the steak adding the bleu cheese in a salad. What do you think? How would you fix yours?

Love my Steak cooked 4mins each side, then resting 4 minutes before serving with home made chips, fried onion, and nice runny eggs....yummo!! If I chose to have in a salad, I wouldn't use blue cheese unless making a cheese sauce.

WoW you are very precise.... that is neat. Are you decisive about your other foods as well?

some things i cook often, therefore i like to cook them the same way each time. steak is something i really enjoy, if you prepare a meal and its tasty, then its worth the effort. Mind you, I have many failures when cooking, thats the way it goes, lol.

that sounds wonderful - and I imagine that the bleu cheese would be great right on the steaks as well. I made prime rib the other day - mmmmm - the roast cooked perfectly - there were some parts rare, some medium rare and the ends were a bit more done. Something for everyone. on my prime rib I like a little horseradish. some people will melt butter onto their steaks when serving.

Another thing to do is melt the blue cheese ansd serve it over the steaks. It is really good that way.

i like my steak medium well done, mm just a little pink, cause it gets tough to chew if its done all the way through i find. i dont like my meat DRY AS CARDBOARD ;) your salad idea sounds good too. are you cooking tommorrow at my house ? :)

Steak and Blue cheese salad sounds nice. Perhaps with fresh spinach leaves. I'd just fry the meat and put blue cheese on top of it. Then I'd partially melt the blue cheese under the broiler. Some might think that's a terrible way to use blue cheese, but I like it.

I am one of those people who like my steak with absolutely NO pink left in it. That makes it a little tougher. I rarely eat steak, but I do like sliced steak in a stir fry. I don't like bleu cheese either.

There is only 1 way we can eat our steak. With a mesquite Jack Daniels marinade and cooked on the grill. I've never had steak that wasn't grilled, and we tried it once without the marinade and hated it, lol.

I do not eat steak, my husband does though. I usually cook his steatk under the broiler, or depending how thick it is I will use the George Foreman grill. He likes his steak medium rare. Last night he was working and I broiled his steak, he had not arrived home yet, so I left it in the hot oven, well, that steak came out well done He ate it without saying anything.
