I Need Suggestions From Mylotters!

My husband and I are looking to move to a different place. We really need to start over but we are scared. This is what we are looking for:
Racial Diversity
Low Cost of Living
Rural Area
Great Scenery: I need one of the other...preferably both: mountains or water
Low Crime Rate
Any ideas?

I am going to keep checking back on this discussion. I am looking for the same things in my move. I was looking at St. Charles Missouri, but, its pretty close to St. Louis, and the crime rate is pretty high in St. Louis. So, now, Im not sure. I know I want to go somewhere, but, I'm just not sure where. What about Osage Beach, Missouri, or Camdenton Missouri. Check those out. I lived both of those places and they are beautiful. And cheap living.

Both of those places are WATER and Hills. Its so beautiful......and they have tommy hilfiger.....lol.........they have a GREAT strip mall at Osage Beach, there are like 150 stores there.....I loved it........Lots of job opportunities as well. Good luck in your search!

If you can deal with water nearby, racial diversity, low cost of living, rural-ish, great scenery and virtually no crime try Columbia, Mo. I moved here from Reno, Nevada and love it. Although, we are contemplating a move to St Louis or St Charles.
