[i][/i]I joined sparkpeople today. I am starting my exercise routine tomorrow. I will be starting to swim laps next week. I want to lose 40 pounds by December 31. I want to lose another 30 by my next birthday (july 3). If I lose more than that so be it.
My exercise goal is to do 10 minutes of cardio in the mornings after getting out of bed and stretching.

Hey.. how much is your actual weight? Are you so fat? In one year you say you want to reduce 31 kilos.. My god.. is it really possible..

Perhaps you should choose your words here a little more carefully. We are not all blessed with superwomen metabolism. And sometimes an injury (like my ankle injury) can set us back further than we already are. Yes it is possible to lose that much weight in a year. It is called determination. Try a little more kindness in your responses cause in this one you came across very crass and crude.

Oh and that is very possible as that translates to 5.83 pounds per month loss and that is very doable.

Wow, good for you!!!! Excercise has never been my strong point, but I am determined in other areas. You sound determined to achieve your goal, and that is absolutely wonderful. I am happy for you, and I hope you go far with your goal, and get precisely wha you want, and then some. Thanks for shaing i with all of us here on MyLot.

Good for you and keep it up. Even if you may fall a time or two, keep your head up and keep at it and let us know how you do. I am rooting for ya. Oh, with Christmas and Thanksgiving, make allowances for those days since they are primarily eating days. Peace.

I wish you the best of luck. I am currently struggling with my own weight and lack of motivation to start a diet and exercise. Everyday I wake up and say today I will begin. I know what to do - I have had sucess with Weight Watchers and SouthBeach Diet. Both work well - I just have to do it. So today I did well on food until my son wanted pancakes tonight and I made them and had to eat 2 so that kinda blew the diet but I did get on my treadmill and exersice for 30 minutes so I am going to try to do at least 30 minutes on the treadmill every day and try to control my eating. I need to lose almost 40 pounds but I really haven't put a time as to when I want to do it. I just need to get started first and as soon as I lose 10 lbs I think I will be more motivated. Good Luck.
