Do you think we will live in literal mansions in Heaven that we can see, touch, feel? Will it have kitchens, bathrooms? How about beds? Or is Jesus talking more figuratively here. Fellow Christians? Here's what I believe. We, as Christians, with our new bodies, are the mansions, or resting places, which Jesus is talking about. Jesus will continue to "inhabit the praises of His people," as it says in Psalms 22, I believe. He will rest in the presence of His beloved people, who will be blessing Him with their praises throughout all Eternity. We will be standing in the Temple Room before Jesus throughout all Eternity, giving Him endless praise. I think that will most likely be the only activity in Heaven throughout all Eternity. Except during the Thousand Year Millenium, when we will be ruling with Him. What is your theology on this issue?

Why do christians always assume that the Psalms have anything to do with the christ figure and a heavenly king. The Messiah will be a man who will establish a kingdom on earth. Nowhere does it say that the Messiah will be a god that will come between us and Hashem. There is only one G'd. The Messiah will rest with his people because he will be here on earth as the King of the Jews ruling us and putting down our oppressors. Try reading the Torah and the Tanach as they are written not as various crhistian translations have perverted them to be!! Shalom~Adoniah

God is Jesus Christ. He is the only God I know. You know, in the New Testament, He did not get on people's case when they worshipped Jesus as God. He is the only begotten Son of the Living God, and His purpose was to end the need to sacrifice blood. His atonement was final. With one sacrifice and faith in Him, salvation was procured for both Jew and Gentile alike. God is NO respector of persons. Ain't that good news?

No, Hashem specifically made it abhorrant to ever sacrifice a human being for any reason. If the christ figure was His son, it would be doubly abhorrant for Him to sacrifice him. The christ figure was not a god nor was he a godly son of Hashem he was just a son of G'd as you are. Shalom

Well, as Jesus came here literally with a flesh and blood as a promised foretold Messiah, I also believe that when He says in His words that there is a Mansion there probably a literal house or dwelling place there, I just think that it is something that we conceive what is it like, but since God promised us that, all we have to do is to believe that there truly is one for those who believe in His Name. This is one of the amazing things God did for his people. God bless and continue in the faith !

Thanks for your comment. It was helpful. There are times that I will wonder what that is like?

angusthethird, Do you praise Jesus 24/7 now? If that is the only activity in heaven throughout all eternity without even a tv to watch what is going on back home sounds boring to me. During the Thousand Year Millenium what are you going to rule?. I am just curious about what you believe and think. I have no theology on this issue and have to rely on you.

I would have to say we probably wont be needing the things of this world anymore. When Jesus talked about the resurrection he said that we wont be given in marriage anymore so I would say the worldly needs would be done away with an we would be more spiritual beings.

I couldn't agree with you more. I am a developing convert and had never looked at it that way before. The songs says "where mansions are prepared for me" Mansions meaning a new body is very significant. John 14: 3 and Numbers 10:33 confirms this blessedness. My theology on this issue? Is it an issue or declaration???
