My apartments recently went through renovations and changed their rules so that tenants can no longer have pets on the premises. It came to be a smooth transition as all the tenants that had dogs and animals moved out and I never heard any complaints as the office gave us notices in advance of 5 months or more. I started noticing that we had a lot of strays roaming in front of the complexes and couldnt understand why until just just the other day my neighbor told me that people were sneaking pets into the apartments and I guess word got out and apartments were checked and now we have these stray cats without a home, who knows what happened to any dogs. I am so upset about this because I saw two of the most beautiful cats out of the bunch, one that caught my eye was a light grey cat with beautiful blue eyes. Then today when I was taking a walk I saw this cat sitting in its owners window just stuck there. When they first started moving new tenants in I was seeing dogs sitting in peoples cars and I was heated about that too. Dont these people know that these are live creatures not some toy you can just chuck when its inconvenient, I dont know why they couldnt of just brought them to the SPCA, they were beautiful cats! I even saw a skunk sitting in front and wonder if that was somebody's pet (they can 'de-stink' skunks) because I have never ever seen a skunk just hanging out before, it was wondering in and out of a bush and was there two hours after a came back from my walk. Its soooo selfish, what do you think about this?

I just hate it. All 3 of our cats were abandoned and now they are members of the family and I wouldn't give them up for anything. Some people are just idiots. Even if you really cannot keep an animal any more, there are places that you can take them where they will be given good homes. And of course, spay and neuter your animals. There are just too many cats and dogs for the shelters to handle.

in some countries like Italy, such behavior is against the law and these people will be penalized severely. heartless men they are.

I have an adopted cat as well. I find that absolutely appalling that people would just put their pets out on the street. There are several laws in place where I live to counteract things like this, and the owners are punished.

Oh really, I did not know of any laws in place, I live on the east coast but I will look in to that, ever since our apartments were remodeled I have been disappointed because the management doesnt monitor anything and now me and hubby are ready to move into a house--its getting silly.
