We had another toddler die today because a mother left her child in the car here in the Houston area. Yesterday it was a grandmother who left her son. That sad part of this one that happened today was that the three year old tried to get out of the car. He gotten out of his car seat had found a key put in the ignition trying to either roll down the windows or open the car. He died in the front seat of the truck. Please pray for these children. And always look in your back seat!!!

I agree, it is so sad. I have heard of so many of these things happening all over the country. It is aweful. There was an article giving tips on remembering your child. One was keep a teddy bear in the front seat so when you get out you remember your child or keep your purse in the back seat where they are. Okay, so you remember your purse but not your child that is ridiculous. It makes me so sad. I know that it is just a mistake but you can't make mistakes like that when you have a child to take care of.

My heart just dropped hearing that last part about the child struggling for his life and I can not help but think of my children in the same situation (I would not go there) because their so innocent. Isnt Houston hot at this time, I mean no open windows, if thats the case it sounds so negligent and I would have to wonder what was the intent they could not even do those young angels that much.

Each and every single time I hear this happen, I just get more and more outraged, because honestly...Who in thier right mind would forget thier own child is in the back seat?? I mean, I don't know too many toddlers who don't make noises in the car. Mine never shut up. LOL But it's a very neglegent thing for a parent to do, esspecially in this deadly heat! Those poor kids! I don't even want to imagine, but I think it should be mandatory for all parents to go through parenting classes or parenting counseling.
