Strange thought

When i was crossing a busy road yesterday with so many people, a strange thought came to my mind on seeing a couple of people who too were crossing the road, with their pet dogs! See, these dogs and other creatures are growing horizontally, while human beings like us are growing vertically! I wondered if at all we also were to grow horizontally instead of vertically! Also wondered how it would be if dogs and other creatures were to grow vertically instead of horizontally! Wild imagination or stupid it may seem to think! But if it happened? Share your views and comments.

I'm afraid that I don't follow your line of thought. My first thought when I read your question about people grown vertically and pets growing vertical was about a newspaper article I read recently. It bemoaned the fact that people in the U S have ceased to grow taller. Instead both the average person and their pets have become overweight. Is the type of vertical growth to which you had reference? That article went on to state that the people in other countries are continuing to grow taller to surpass those in the US. The writer attributed that to better nutrition and lack of universal health care in the US.
