How do you react when ........???

Hi all
yes, how do you react when you hear that a doctor is telling you that there is no further treatment is available for one of your close relatives?
This happened to me twice. 1st time it was my mom, when doctor came out and told me, "Sorry we can't help, just pray........."
Again for one of my close relatives who had a cancer. One fine( it was certainly not fine for me) morining doctor said,"no further medicine are available. Just pray."
How did i feel?
I closed my eyes and saw them crawling slowly towards that ultimate yet unknown destination, known to me as death...... and I was helplessly looking at them.
I felt so helpless.......i just can't express it in words.
Hope you didn't face such condition and never in future too. But how do you think someone facing such a situation reacts?

it happen to me twice; my grandmother and my grandfather. both of them judged cancer.
it was unbearable pain deep inside my heart. they help me many times in many hardest problem in my life, but i can do absolutely nothing but pray to God... i feel hopeless those days...

i am gladly havent heard something like that yet and i hope i wont hear it in the future but if doctor say to me something like i think i cant control my feelings i would first cry then i would act really aggressive but not infront of the person who has disease because that would be his/her last days on earth and i dont want to make him/her sad on his last days i would just talk to him/her about anything else but i still think it would be very hard to control your feelings,emotions

I sincerely pray that you never ever have to face such situation in your life. It's really very tough. I had to keep smiling while i was talking to them but in fact i want to cry loudly. To control oneself in such a condition is terrifying. I hope no one else have to face such things.
Anyway I liked your reply. It touched my heart.

I think i'll be very sad on hearing that.
And i'll tell a white and make sure my relative doesn't know the bad news and he/she still has faith in the treatment.
Then pray everyday for my relative and hoping there will some kind of miracle.
BUt i hope this kind of situation will never happen to anyone.
