Why do people ....?

Hi all
I often wonder why do we fail to recognize the impact of global warming and act accordingly?? Do you have anything to say about this. To be honest I have so far done nothing constructive to the cause. In fact I have purchased a building in a place which was full of trees few years back. I couldn't reject that building citing the cause that this building is standin on the graveyard of green wood trees.
Please let me know how do you respond to the threat of global warming.

Are we so full of problems now days that we don't give
much attention to global warming? I just realized that
if natures strike no amount of escape and money can save
us from nature's fury. We need to plant more trees to
replace those trees cut by illegal loggers. We need to
eliminate harmful chemicals that destroy our ozone layers.
When are we going to act?

Thanks for your reply. Yes all of us do understand that horrible days waiting for us or at least for our next generations. But no one seems to care. In no presidential election, this point is even mentioned. We are so silly !!!

Honestly, we live in a rat race where its every man to himself. I know Its really frustrating. See, I feel its more important to spread awareness about global warming than to silently work towards it yourself. A one man army will not work in this case. If people start working towards global warming it will have a significant impact on their lively hood. People are not willing to sacrifice anything for the sake of the global warming issue. Especially the poorer section. What we need to do is spread awareness on the simple ways people can do everyday to combat this issue.
