I am often appalled by the lack of manners today. Long gone are those who would hold a door open for anyone, say "please", "thank you", or "you're welcome". I also can't believe how many people don't cover their mouths when they cough or sneeze. Then there are those who don't close their mouths when they chew, but the worst are those who choose to talk on their cell phones in public places exposing bystanders to all their private phone conversations.
So, how are your manner and did I leave anything out that really annoys you too?

I think that I'm pretty well mannered. My parents made us say please and thank you and taught us by example how to be well mannered. I'm doing the same with my kids. The forget sometimes but they are on 5,3 and 1. But they say please and thank you a lot more than most kids I've seen. I also have made sure they covered their mouths. They have done it from a very young age. There is a major lack of manners and respect these days. Sad.

I try to have good manners. I still open doors for people and say please and thank you. Like you I am annoyed by all the people that are constantly talking on their cell phones. I also hate it when I buy something at a store and the person does not thank me. That really annoys me.

Acting with manners is a good thing and it make people love each other, and make the communication between people more reasonable and less hateness.
For me I am acting in a lot manners that make some people think I am a fool, but sometimes when there are a situation from some people who act with no respect to their self or for me I will act as they do so they know I am not that much foolish.
I teach my kids how to act in a good manner with other people and that is so good to them to grow up, so they will respect their self before respect other people.
