Have you ever been SLAPPED in public?

recently one of my friends was in a shop and was trying to slip in a small teddy. the shop keeper caught hold of him and slapped in public.
he was so embarrassed (well he should be), that he didnt take food for the next three days.
well have u ever been slapped in public?
and why?

i could say that public school is also a public place so when i was elementary my classmate slapped in the front of our classmates but of course i need to slap her too so i return the thing she did to me i slapped her face to in the front of our classmates.

I can't ever remember being slapped in public. Maybe, as a child I was, but I doubt it because I was rarely smacked or spanked.
I can't imagine your friend stealing a teddy!!! WAS he trying to steal it? If so, why on Earth would he want to steal a teddy?
If someone tried that here, he would have been arrested and put in jail, not slapped. But, given the choice, I'd rather be put in jail than slapped in public! I'd never be able to go to that place again, EVER, because I'd be so embarrassed.

oh my god that is so funny! why on earth of all the things he could have taken he took a teddy lol
that is even more embarassing. that is the worst thing getting caught and then getting humiliated like that ! lol i can see how embarassed he was from him not eating food lol well if some one is stealing i dont see why they would stop eating because of it lol why steal in first place. but no i have never been slapped in public maybe by mum in front of family but not like major.
