I was quite pleased when I went for my weigh in at the doctor's today and I'd shed at least 2.8 kgs (6lbs) in the last month!Pretty pleased
The main change I made in the last couple of months is sticking to 3 meals a day. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. I guess the dietician was right!:)
As a busy single working mum, It is difficult keeping on top of my own meal schedules and I found I was snacking and grabbing quick bites to it instead of sticking to my main meals and eating when I could get to it or when I was starving too much to ignore..and the body I guess reacts poorly when you do that too much..
I have made a number of lifestyle changes and hope to stick to them, I am also buying a treadmill this month - Hardly get the time to go to the gym so I will bring the gym home(I guess the mountain can come to Mohammed after all..!)
Are you trying to lose weight? What lifestyle changes have you made to keep you going? Do you plan to change anything to loose some weight? Has anything worked for you in the past? Have you got any handy tips for other myLotters?

You could try consulting your doctor and maybe they can do some tests, some people have an overactive thyroid gland sometimes and that's why they do not put weight one..or it could be in the genes (good genes I wish I had..)

Yes, skipping meals makes metabolism slower and you burn less calories and the body starts to react to the regular starvation periods in a way we do not want it to..
Also if you have a good breakfast, you're not starving by lunch and having a big lunch to compensate Drink water too and keep the body hydrated enough and it will try not to hold onto water as you will be passing urine regularly too; also a little trick I (and others) do, is have a full glass of water before I start to eat so I can feel full faster and not over-eat
I am sure other people have others..

Thanks Sharay One tip I have heard before and also from my dietician is not to skip breakfast, it is the most important meal of the day
Also when you skip meals, your body goes into 'starvation mode' and tends to store fat for these periods and this has also been known to slow down your metabolism and you can put on weight..so regular small meals is the way to go

Best way for me is/was walking. I used to walk to work and back home, altogether between 5 and 6 km a day. Now I'm working in another place, in the middle of the town, about 12 km from home, and it's a bit too much to walk every day Guess what happened... in less than a year...

That is awesome! I am always trying to loose weight. I have about 5 pounds that just keep coming back on that I would love to get rid of forever!
I do weightwatchers. It works great when I write down and count everything. This summer I have been a bit lazy and the ice cream has been calling me from the ice cream parlor:) Now those pesky 5 pounds are back on...so it's time to start keeping track again.

I've heard weightwatchers is good! I find that exercise is the main thing that works for me to shift any bulges so I am surprised at the results really
I hear you about the ice-cream, I have been at those too as when my tot wants one, it's hard to resist but should steer well clear of them now autumn's looming..
Good Luck with your regime and cheers for the response!:)
