Hey you have gone far away from me in terms of post count. And by the way, where r u? And how r u? I know its been difficult for me scheduling my activities to come online but i was here on Monday as well, but u didnt come? and no messages as well.. I hope everythign is fine.. About swimming, Well, It does help to reduce the fat. Moreover it will help to adjust the Fat proportion in ur body. But it has a side effect too. Ur skin would become dark if you do it regularly. Swimming is a good exercise and infact you would love doing it. I used to do swimmign a lot till last month in my office campus, but i have started going to a gym since the starting of this month so i dont get time for swimming. Moreover, the workload has also started building up and for teh same reason, I couldn't go to gym either. Y don't you join a gym too? Gym would be more effective in reducing weight than swimming? And by the way, i did not know that u know how to swim?

yeah...since my job is Medical Transcription, which demands me to sit in front of the computer the whole day, swimming would at least help me in that way to relieve some back pain

I believe swimming is the best exercise there is. I tones your muscles without even knowing it. It double the resistance of the regular exercise because of the water. And the best part of it is that you are having fun while losing some weight.

Well i've heard people saying exercise and working out lets you reduce weight but the base starts what we eat! Eating habits itself can make you go slimmer. Swimming , yes helps in reducing weight because Swimming is considered as the ideal form of exercising as the density of the human body is almost like to that of water, so the body is greatly supported by water and less stress is hence placed on joints and bones and muscles of the body. Swimming is basically the exercise of aerobic category as it takes longer exercising time, needs consistent supply of oxygen to the muscles, except for short race where the muscles work an aerobically. The aerobic exercises generally burn fat and help losing weight, but swimming has no such effects except while swimming in the cold water where body burns more food energy for maintaining the body temperature.

Swimming is a great way to loose weight. I use to go to a water aerobics class to help with my weight loss. It was a blast! I think all you have to do is get moving and watch your diet. Having children is a blessing....too bad it always comes with excess weight!

I swim often because I live near a lake. I think it has helped me shed a few inches, and possibly some weight as well, but it is not aquick fix. I enjoy it alot and that is why I do it. It is alot more fun than other exercise except maybe playing a team sport. I hate like sweaty gym workouts or even walking, jogging I find kind of boring. Swimming is alot of fun. The other activity I like for weight loss is tennis.

The only way to truly lose weight is to burn more calories in a day then you take in. I have to do strenuous cardio exercises 3 times a week and weight train the other two to maintain my weight now that I lost almost 30 pounds since May. It doesn't happen over night and I would never swim to lose weight. Find an activity that is going to keep your heart rate up for atleast 45 minutes to an hour a day, limit your sugar intake and drop your calories down from whatever they are now by at least 300 and in no time you will see the pounds start to melt away.

Yes, yes, yes! Swimming is a great way to lose weight, and it has the added benefit of being low impact and good for your joints. I used to do water aerobics, which you might be interested, too. Best thing about water activities for exercise is that you don't have to feel yourself sweat!

Swimming is a great, low-impact means to lose weight, but you have to do actual swimming, not just floating around aimlessly in the pool. Taking up a class or learning the proper way to swim laps would be a great start; then just set a timer somewhere, and go at it until you run out of time. A half-hour is probably a good starting point; then working your way up from there as you feel able.

Swimming is one of the most effective ways of exercising to lose weight. It's a great thing to do, because it takes a lot of energy and calories to swim, though it's hard to even notice because you have so much fun while swimming. when you move in a pool, you have to push and move many pounds of water, so it's like you are lifting weights almost, so it tones your muscles and increases your metabolism, and overall decreases fat. You should definitely try this for a few weeks, and I am 100% sure that you will lose a lot of weight by doing this. Make sure to eat healthy as well, and you will be on your way to having a better body image .

yes, swimming is very good for your health. I like swimming, but I can't swim well. In hot days, I go out to seaside and swimming. It's very charming!
