I do sometimes, specially when I am tired. Or when I am already on my PC, I don;t like to stop what I'm doing. I will just wait for tomorrow to wash it.Good for you who have dishwasher, no problem but we don't have one so I just dump the plates on the sink.
it is just good that my husband just don't way anything.
what about you? Do you experience this too? Anyway, not everyday for me. Just when I am tired of doing it.
want to hear your story too and how did your hubby react to it?

No. I have a slight obsessive-compulsive disorder. I cannot sleep knowing that there are still dishes waiting to be washed on the sink. I would be thinking of roaches crawling all over the place so I would also find it really difficult to sleep. I want things in order before I go to bed.

What's funny is that no matter how tired I am after a hard day's work I still force myself to clean up. Talk about OC-ness!

eeepp...I hate to admit it, but I do this too.
My husband doesn't react to it - he does it sometimes when it's his turn to do dishes.

I don't think it's so much a matter of agreeing - in our group of friends and our families, it's considered normal for men to do about half of the housework. The women still do more, but at least the attempt is made.

Hi there,
I never have a chance to do so because I'm still living with my mom.
And i guess you know how mom will react if you don't do your washing immediately huh?
I wish someday in the future i can just stack up my plates at the sink and only do the cleaning when I'm out of clean plates to use...lol...

No I don't leave my dirty dishes in the sink and unwashed at night, dirty dishes attracts roaches, and I hate those things, so I keep my my dishes cleaned, and also don't leave water in the sink. And this time of year, it also attract ants.

I prefer to have the dishes washed right away but yes I do find that they sit overnite and get done in the morning.
After a long day at work really the only thing I want to do is sit on my pc or a bit of reading and even, watch tv.
But if they have sat to long then I will get to them just so they don't smell.

Me too, when I am tired I will leave my sink full of dirty dishes and wait for tomorrow to get it done. However, if possible I would like to make sure the dishes are done at night so that I can start preparing breakfast the next morning without having to wash the dishes first. I usually wake up at 5:30 a.m. to cook meals for my husband to bring to work. He loves my cooking so everyday if possible he only wants to eat food from home. Furthermore now his stomach is not very healthy, and he often gets diarrhea whenever he eats out. As for my husband, he never complains about the left dishes, and he even helps me out sometimes. I love him so much.

We don't have a dishwasher either, and since I injured my wrist back in April, it's takes a bit to wash the dishes mainly using one hand. Usually, I will rinse them off and stack them in the sink, sometimes more than one days worth, however that isn't much, since it's just the two of us, and normally the only meal we really use any dishes for is dinner. As for my s/o, he's fine with even using paper plates when we can, and he never complains about the dishes not being done. There have been times he told me they could wait! And sometimes he'll just go in the kitchen and do them, without saying a word.

There are times when we do this. I don't like it, but like you sometimes I'm tired or hurting and just don't get them done myself and forget to have my son do them. He does the dishes as part of his chores most of the time. I am a neat freak about everything else, don't know why I can handle this..lol.

I try not too because I live in Florida and here if you aren't careful the cockroaches will find you. There have been a few nights though where I have but my hubby knows if I did then I was either really tired or getting sick.

I do not. But I have a dishwasher. So sometimes I leave them in there until I have enough to wash. I think it looks sloppy leaving dishes that could have god knows what caked on. And then if someone comes over and you don't expect them...you feel like they have caught you being dirty. Plus...all those germs are floating around in the air which could cause bacteria and make you sick. I know I sound like a big germaphobe, and I don't have a cleaning disorder either. Yeah sometimes I'm tired but it feels good when you get it done and know that you're not just putting it off for some other time when you're probably not going to want to do it then either.

My family has no such habit. We have no dishwasher too. I think it's a waste of water to have one.
We will wash the plates right after we use it (the only exception is my brother). He will leave it for us to wash for him
We do not enjoy seeing stacks of dirty dishes in my sink. It doesn't take much effort to wash.
Maybe you and your husband can take turns to wash dishes. ![](/Content/images/emotes/happy.gif)

I have to have order and thats just how I am so I cant have a bunch of dishes all piled up and coming out of the sink UNLESS I am going out and then I can stand it. My boyfriend often likes to make big meals and then leave me with a sink full of pans, he uses a pan for this and pan for that, lol. I like to have a clean sink when Im home though because clutter is just useless energy and its something thats in the way so thats why I just keep them rinsed and stuff them in the dishwasher, even before having a dishwasher but I definately have my days where Im exhausted with house chores and thats when Ill get out of the house and come back to it later.
