why does God...?

Hi all
I have learned that God is omni powerful. If so I wonder why does HE allow crimes? I know free will etc. But being omni powerful, for the benefit of mankind, why doesn't he control that free will when a man rapes a minor helpless girl?
Why ...? what your mind says about this?

So God must now be a crime fighter? I do hope God is taking note of this and seriously considers becoming one. Personally though, I think God as superhero would be a boring God. We already have Superman and Wolverine and Spiderman to take care of crime. You need to think up of a better job description for God. Cheers!!
