why so many philosophical ideas for..........

Hi all. All the famous philosophers said something about god. But no philosophers explained why do we need so many religions. Rather they have advocated so many ideas related to all the religions just making it difficult to interpret all of those ideas. What was the necessities? If learned philosophers can't look beyond a specific religion, how can we look beyond our respective religions?
