Police can be deceiving and I greatly dislike the town cop here, but otherwise I've found police officers to be nice.I've only been pulled over by my town cop because I supposedly pulled out in front of two bikers so close that one had to slam on his breaks to not smash into the back of my disel dually.I find it funny that if they were that close they didn't pass by where he pulled me over until I had been sitting there for about twenty minutes.

On the whole, I respect the police and believe the vast majority of them to be very professional. Yes, some do make mistakes . That does not mean they do not have the best intentions in mind, only that they got out of control.
There are some bad cops that are corrupt or falsify evidence, but only enough to give a lot of good cops a bad name. I have met very few cops in my life that were not professional or tolerated bad cops on the force.

It's very sad we are running away from those who are to protect us. In my country , the police service is the 2nd most corrupt institution. I'm really confused because I don't know what can be done to redeem their spoilt image

Police Officers are representative of society, they are all different so in answer to your question, some I do and some I don't. Just as I have seen some terrible Police Officers I have mety some very good ones. My wife and I are friends with a Police Detective who investigates reports of domestic violence. Our friend is one of the toughest and compasionate women we have ever met. She really and truly cares.

I wish I should have been mind readers. When it comes to check the trust of a Police Officer, it is difficult to make out whether they are trustworthy or not until they seek some favours from me.

It depends on how I am treated when they first approach. but then again, I have only been stopped once and recieved a lecture and a smile from the officer. I didn't slow down when approaching a yellow light, I sped up and made it about three quarters through before it turned red.

People in law enforcement are generally more agressive than most and in that respect less trustworthy. That being said, as individuals they vary as in any society and should not be lumped together capriously.

The little one in my head that tries to tell me right and wrong yes. The ones in uniforms and big cars, not really they are just people, some do good others can be mean. One assaulted me when I was 16 weeks pregnant, so I am always wary of their intentions. They can be helpful when they do their job, but I have to be desperate to contact them.

See as we have five fingures, all are different from each other. The police persons are not also same as we always think. Some of them are very responsible. obidient and well natured.

I believe just like labeling all in one category is impossible, I know there are bad cops (everywhere), just as there are bad parents, priests, preachers, teachers, managers, politicians, associates, presidents, congressmen, senators, heads of state, and yes even bad MyLot users!!!! But to say all are bad, no. Those who commit injustices should pay the consecquences. Unfortunately the few ruin it for the majority!

police officers are suppose to be above everyone. you are suppose to trust them completely. you are suppose to teach your children to trust them completely, BUT. if that is so why are there arrests of officers. in my small town (again!! ). i trust some. i would trust some with my life. others no way. i also think some of them have big mouths! there isn't suppose to be any talking " out of school ".
