is it the intention or the attitude???

some people want to make a difference.. (including myself).. but to me the intention of making a change in society nowadays is not enough to actually make an impact.. from my point of view people with good intentions have the tendency of quitting after they feel that whatever they are doing is worthless, when they get discouraged for some odd reason they can't keep their heads up... people with a world-changing attitude on the other hand, keep pushing even if they know that what they are doing is not gonna change the world, but they feel that all their work was worth the pain if it made a difference for someone.. well, that's how i see it.. what do you people think? is it the intention or the attitude?
