Well, I have seen these images about colored cats, the people who own the cats have paint them in some colors. I gather these images in one image so you can see it all. Do cute cats need to be colored like that? Do you paint your cat with any color?I hope you like the image, have a nice day.

Those images are very different, and I have never heard of anyone painting their cats, and I do not know why anyone would do that to a poor cat,I have known someone who painted a dogs tail orange to be mean and funny,I thank you for sharing those images with all of us,because it shows something that I think would be cruelity to animals and should be against the law.

I just had to smile when I read this :-) A few days ago my grandson and I were sitting on the sofa reading, and he dabbed a pink highlighter on our cat's white paw. Just a little mark. We laughed and wondered how long it would take to be "washed off". Well you can still see it faintly. I don't really agree with *painting* cats! But a bit of highlighter seemed funny, since the cat seemed quite unaware of it. It was a bit of harmless fun, and your question made me decide to share it!

I'm never surprised to see how stupid people can be. Animals are not toys therefore they must be respected and people must not play with them in such a silly way, which can also be dangerous for the cat hair.

No i don't paint and won't paint my kitty, i like it the way it is - natural. I don't see any point in putting some extra chemicals on him.

I never did it to my cat but to my pity dog, I was dying my hair to burgandy colour at home .. there was some more left over, what i did was pat my dog with the left over.. she had creamy fur, so the colour stuck to her nicer than on my black head.. She was so cute ...

At first I misread this as painting a CAR with different colours, and then I looked closer and realized you were talking about a CAT!! Wow. No, I would ever pait my cat a colou. I don't think it is healthy or safe for the animal to be painted. I think it is ather cruel. That's something that I would ever do.

Actually it would depend on what the cats were painted with. Some cats don't mind at all, and their owners use either human food grade coloring, or other non toxic materials. I don't call it animal abuse if the pet dosen't mind, and the product is non toxic. If it's NOT on the other hand...

Well, if they do that just for having fun with their pets and be quite sure to use colors not harm the cats, I think it will be fine.

I think most of those are photoshopped - not actually painted cats

Of course, while one of the rooms was being painted, one of our cats both walked thru some paint and brushed against the wall, but it sure wasn't intentional. The guys painting were furious!

We've always ended up with dark colored cats for whatever reason, so paining them would be hard, if not impossible. Unless we did what my cousin did when he was six. He had a long haired black cat. He didn't want a black cat, he wanted a white cat... So... Can you guess what he did? He got into his mother's baking supplies... And poured a whole LARGE bag of flower on his black cat. Yeah, my aunt had fun with that.

Don't think it did, because that cat was lazy and easy going. But I'm not sure, as I heard it second hand.

ok dont hate me but yes ONCE i used pink food coloring on my white fluffy cat as an experiment when i was doing a bet grooming course. we were talking about trends and fashion in grooming and it was mentioned that dyes were used to some places on poodles and the like. i didnt want to use dye because of the unnecessary and harmful chemicals in them and i was worried about hurting her (Ie burning her poor skin!!). but i used pink fool coloring on a piece of kitchen towel to make a pink stripe down her back. i have to admit it looked pretty cool but its not something id necessarily do again. it took WEEKS for the color to fase off and even tho it was a food product and harmless its just a bit pointless and i dont see the need for it - shes beautiful just how she is. ill tell you what tho - she didnt mind me doing it as to keep her as dry as possible i was applying it sparingly and she was getting a good rub!

Hi alkurishy. No way would I even think about painting my beautiful cats! They are beautiful as they are. I have an all black kitty and a blac and white kitty. I've hat a orange kitty and a tuxedo kitty. They were all just just beautiful the way they were. All cats have their own wet of colors and they don't need to be painted. That's just silly. Those pictures are just an artists rendition of what he wants them to look like, not what they really are.

First of all, those images are computer altered, the cats were not really painted it was done with a computer graphics programs. But, if someone actually used paint on their cats like this, does anyone else think it would border on animal cruelty? The paint could be dangerous to the cats when they clean their fur, not to mention it would just make them uncomfortable. I was relieved when I found out the photos are not genuine.

Well, that what I have from the net, and I hope that they don't have to paint their cat with any color, as you say this will hurt the cats and that I don't like at all. I just was love to know people's thoughts about this thing. Thanks for your response and have a nice day.

I have never painted my cat before. Since each cat have its unique color I don't think I would take the time to alter it in any way. But the images you featured are beautifully designed. Was there a special occasion or contest that they participated?

Definitly looks like photoshop, and I hope it is. I see no use in painting a cat, a cat looks fine the way it is. If people paint themselves it's their choice but the cat has no saying in it. People do this for their own pleasure, not for the cats sake. When you are making fun of a pet and might even use harmfull paint on them you are not doing the right thing as a pet owner in my opinion.

I think cats are pretty nice as they are. I dont think I would paint my cat but some of the colored cat pictures are quite pretty and unusual. I think that some of the other things I have seen are like dogs dyed pink. I wonder if the animals know they look ridiculous. I guess if animals were capable of embarassmaent they probably would be.

Those ca pictures are so cute.Love it!No i haven't tried it-i'm not as good and artistic as those who paint ed those cats.My daughter did some painting on our cat.She got hold of face paints which i've been trying to hide from her because she would just play with and mess up with her clothes and everything. So that day i decided to let her do her thing and painted her face. After a while i thought she's still busy painting her face when Max(our cat) came running to me with blotches of red paint all over her body.Thought something bad came up,it's just face paint---my daughter painted her.

Hi alkurishy, No I have never paint my cats as it is very dangerous as the paint are toxic to the cats, the cat are always washing themselves and if they lick the paint they will get very sick and may even die. Why can't people leave animals as they are and don't need to be colour. Take care. Tamara

i have seen an article, last year, which states people have their cat's hair dyed into a particular image or symbol. it is terribly expensive. if you go to my profile page there is one photo which i used for a discussion way in the beginning of my membership.
