What has been the hardest country for you to research for your genealogy?

In all your research of your family history, which country has been the hardest for you to research and why? Right now, the only two countries that come into place with my family history is Ireland and England. Both are hard in many ways in that both have had fires of one variety or another in many parishes, churches, and such over the centuries. Many precious records have been lost that are of course the ones I need! Cost has also been a factor. In many regards, obtaining documents from Ireland and England are more expensive than getting US based documents. I've tried all the top genealogy websites over the years, such as Ancestry.com and others. I think I have exhausted all possible leads until a distant unknown family member comes along *grins*
