Yesterday was my last day of work. If I can only choose I wouldn't leave the company but sadly things must have happen. The company owners decided to close the business so we no we don't have a choice but leave and find new jobs. It was sad for me cause I have spend almost eight years on that company and though I wasn't able to experience being promoted cause the next position were I can be have was already taken by one of the owner, i really enjoy the stay with them. It does allows me to show my capabilities not just as employee but also as a person. Now I am looking for a work and I just hope that it won't take that long. So my dear friends if you know some vacant positions please let me know. Anyway Im here in Philippines. Thanks!

hello there. i am from the philippines, too and i am now living here in sweden. anyway, i know that there are lots of job vacancies in our country. most vacancies are in call centers. if you can speak english fluently, if you are into customer service and if you don't have problems staying late at night, you can easily get a job there. the beginning pay is at around 15,000 pesos and is raised to 18,000 to 20,000 after some months depending on your performance.

They said that call centers can help you. It's easy to get into it and gives a good pay. Well, though I find their pays better than mine, I still wouldn't get myself into unless the nature calls for it.

so sorry to hear what happened to you my friend. this is one reason i stopped working with private companies and especially if it owns solely by a family and runs it. stability. whatever the company wants, it will happen, they own the company and even if they want to continue the business but the business is not working good, the employees will suffer. i am now working in the government as my first job. but my second job in a private firm is unstable. so i have to keep working good. well i hope you get another new job the soonest possible time. I have done that last night and I got lots of possible jobs but some were a bit far from my place so I really need to look somewhere near. It is really a big help for us applicants cause it does can save us from transportation and all we need is just wait for their call. Thanks for the reply!

You must have experienced great things in that company for being there for 8 long years. For me, staying in a company for a year is already a big deal. It takes a large bucket of patience and eagerness to stay in a company. Well, I salute you on that. Good luck to your search for new work. I hope you won't have a very hard time looking for one. Just be optimistic.

Its sad that the company closed and get you jobless now, but don't worry it will not take long specially if your qualification and records are ok. Well, you must prepare your resume and look for a job that will fit you. Here in Mindanao, specifically in South Cotabato, there are plants that are to be constructed, and they are looking for engineers and accountants.

Hi there ayessa! I am so sorry to hear about what happened to your company and to all the employees. It must be hard to say goodbye to a company that you have been with for eight years. What could have been the reason why they decided to close? Is the company having some financial problems? Anyway, it may not really be difficult to look for a job now but of course it depends on what job you are willing to take on. Plus, it depends on your qualifications too. There are thousands of jobs available in the call center industry. If you are ready for that kind of job, I think you will not really have a hard time looking for one. Or, you can check out some sites online that have lots of job listings. Like for instance, you can check trabaho.com, jobmarket.inquirer.net, jobsdb.com.ph, bestjobs.ph, etc. Will you consider going abroad? Maybe you can try workabroad.ph. I hope you get to find a job soon. Good luck to you!

The owners just said that they will be migrating to indonesia and no one will look for the company. It was something sad but I am fine now I have been looking for a job for these past days and I got some interview invitations. I just wish I can find a good boss again. Thanks for those sites! I'll check it out.

I am so sorry about that my friend. Unfortunately, my company is also doing all the cost reduction program strategy as possible in order to save our employees from working at least 6 days in a week, but due to crisis, we still need to have them work 5 days in a week. Also, we avoid hiring new employees at all for regular employees instead we rely on the agencies and have our contractual employee from them. I hope you can find your new job. It is sad that the position you're aspiring was taken by somebody. It is good being a supervisor or a leader since you can experienced everything with this level, you can experience different attitude and how to ride with them. For the meantime, I would suggest to stay active here in myLot so that you can maintain your extra income while you are looking for your new job. Who knows, someday, you can find great opportunity online so you don't need to work in a company.Have a nice weekend.

Oh its okay. I was really planning to be active on the online earning but it seems harder for me now cause I was also taking care of my baby. You know babies needs more attention and I can only log when she was asleep and it was really hard cause she wakes too soon. Anyways, I would really love to just stay here if only my husbands earning was enough but it wasn't and I was just lucky that I have known some sites that pays good. and it can be added on our income now. Thanks for the response!

Hi ayessa, I am sorry this has happened to you, it has happened to me three times in my life and I still made it work, dont worry, there is always something better, you will see. I have decided not to go out and look for work any longer, I now earn a reasonable amount of money on the internet. It has taken me three months to start earning, but I am doing it now. If you would like my help, and I stress, this will not cost you a penny, I will not charge you, I will help to get you established where you can work online, in your own time. If baby wakes up, it doesnt matter, you go back to it when you have time, but it must be every day. I have just completed helping a young lady in the US and she is now on target to earn 100$ per month, which I am going to help her increase in time. If you would like my help, accept my friendship request and we can work together. Otherwise I wish you luck in your job hunting endeavours. All the best to you.
