When you are not that happy, would some particular food make you feel better? I used to not eat when I am depressed, however, these days I find that my favorite cure would be chocolate cake! I usually feel the world is not so crazy after having on of those. What about you?

I rarely ever get depressed, but when I am not having that good of a day, I actually don't turn to food. I used to, wanted chocolate anything lol. But, 4 years ago, I cut out almost all sweets in an effort to loose weight, I was pushing 300lbs and I'm only 5'3", I ended up loosing 150 lbs and have kept it off. So now, I either turn on some happy music or watch a funny movie.

wheneveri feel blue my guy makes me mashed potatoes or mac and cheese. These foods just comfort me and taste so good. And it makes me feel even better that my guy knows what i need and makes them for me. Plus i always need chocolate afterwards, doesn't matter what kind, just something chocolate. :)

When I'm really depressed, I usually don't eat at all. If I do, I just got knots in my stomach, and feel worse. If I just have a simple case of the blues, usually a great pizza will help me feel better. Or good East Indian food. Or Mexican food. Mexican food always help anyone feel better, I guess it's all the beans and cheese, I don't know. As far as sweets go, the sugar can help a little, but it's very temporary, as then I get that sugar crash, and I'll feel even worse. Physically as well as mentally (I have a low tolerance for sugar and sweets). I think warm foods high in protein help, like beans and cheese and so on.

I have heard that eating chocolate and banana will cheer you up. So when you are feeling down, they are the good choices to eat. Usually when I am depressed, I don't have an appetite. But it may be opposite to some people. They tend to eat anything to feel better. I love China

Just about any fattening comfort food will make me feel better. I love pancakes. Pancakes always make me feel better. I really like to eat ice cream also. Choclolae cake is very good. I like to eat things like that alos when i am stressed. Of course since I am overweight I try not to eat any of these things.

I have never thought about what makes me feel better when I am depressed, other than taking a Xanax. LOL Actually, I guess I would have to say that either something sweet, like cheesecake or chocolate cake would probably do it. Or, mashed potatoes and gravy always makes me feel better.

I am never depressed, but I do sometimes burn the candle at both ends, and that is when I crave macaroni and cheese, not that crud in the box mixes but the real stuff, oven baked with cream cheese and cheddar. Mmmm, and lots of black pepper, and maybe a poached egg and a glass of milk. Oh, what the heck, lets have a nice slice of whole grain toast slathered with butter and a small piece of steak. Grrrrl, you are making me hungry.

Ice cream, it cures everything, honest! Esp. since it comes in so many flavors. There is the vanilla cure, the raspberry cure, the orange pineapple cure, the buttered pecan cure, . . .
