A man and his son were in an automobile accident. The man died on the way to the hospital, but the boy was rushed into surgery. The emergency room surgeon said "I can't operate, that's my son!" How is this possible?

The surgeon was the boy's mother. Had me stumped for a little bit. I do not know why I was thinking that the surgeon had to be a man.

Oh my and I was thinking that surgeon is a man. I am so sexist think, bad me. ok get over that, so the surgeon is the boy's mother. this old joke is really for sexist no?
