Olympic champion: US or China?

As what I have seen in the recent medal tally, China is leading over the United States. It is not yet far. In terms of the total number of medals, US has more medals. I am not underestimating China because I believe that they are really good and aside from that they are the host. They are very comfortable in their own place. The last day of Olympic will be next week. I think there is enough for the US team to win more golds............ Who do you think will emerge as the overall champion?

I think there's a lot of cheating going on with China's team, they made passports for the 10-13 year old gymnast girls to make them 16 years old to qualify for the Olympics, giving them an advantage because the younger, the more flexible and energetic. I think those girls should be stripped of their medals. If they lie and cheat with that event, imagine the bribery and lies that are happening elsewhere with the Chinese teams, since they are the host they can get away with a lot more. The US should fair well when it comes to track and field, I think the Chinese may be weak at that sport, so we should grab a few there. Michael Phelps won another swimming gold just ten minutes ago so I don't know if you saw it updated yet, but I think we will gain on them, since their strong events are ending. The US will definitely have more overall medals though.

Hi sugar.
all you had said is right. we watch olympics since the opening and we saw some errors and cheating. all american players are great and we saw it on t.v..And also there a lots of atletes who deserve to win and not cheating. let keep our fingers cross for the american to have more gold medal in the end.

Why you said Chinese Gymnastic team cheating? Do you have any legal certifications for their ages? As you know, most of eastern people is smaller and thinner than westerns, you can not say they are younger based on their appearance. And in American side, Sean is a cute and younger gymnast girl, based on American standard, she is younger also, why you do not say that she is cheating? I hope you can not use your stingy heart to think of others. All the judgments and international Olympic workers are not blind, and I think they are much more professional than you for the athletes.

The Chinese may have more gold (putting aside any notions of cheating especially with the little girl gymnasts), but the US has overall more medals. And they still keep adding on. The Olympics aren't over yet and there are many events still ahead of us, where they Chinese aren't that great. There may still be hope;)
