you can't ever say about a player like sachin Tendulkar whos the pride of indian cricket and being searving for the team for the last 20 years i think.But when his not constantly not performing well thorough out the years we can't droped him from the national cricket team it's being surely an unfair to him as well as with his fans.However i am against this discussion about The Team India need Tendulkar or not.His the best and i am a great fan of him and want to see him playing constantly.

i think they still need him...just simple because of is presence level..it boost ups the players..and dont forget we won recent VB series in australia..and there was big role played by tendulkar in it..

Honestly speaking, Indian cricket team now has young and talented players who can win matches for India. So why Tendulkar, is it just to give him honour to keep him in the team or to encourage him to set personal milestones?

Hello asitamitabh I partially agree with as the entire team is a combination of sr and jr. If you argue that the entire team will be selected from jr players, it will be fatal for team and on the other hand if u argue that entire team will be selected from sr players it will also be wrong. To balance team and to extract best result from the team it will be combination of 70:30 . No doubt Sachin is a world class player what he has given to Indian cricket we can not forget. But at the same time we can not depend on one man show. Team is combination of 11 players. If team is loosing one or two match hue and cry is created and immediately player is being changed but this is totally wrong . By doing so moral of the players degraded. He may be given opportunities . The present team is balanced team. pkc3000

unlike the fact that is a very good cricketer...you cannot base a team on one player..thats not fair...i think new comers should be given a chance too
