Punctuality is a problem for many people. For example, Dan Kennedy, author of "No B.S. Time Management For Entrepreneurs", indicates that more than 60% of employees in the U.S. frequently show up late for work.
When you are late for appointments, meetings or work itself, you show a lack of respect for other people's time as well as your own.
Being late in paying bills can be costly and being late socially can strain relationships. So you are justified in being frustrated with yourself.
You are also correct in assuming it is a sign of disorganization. But getting organized is primarily an exercise in self-discipline. Correcting your punctuality problem is an excellent place to start if you want to get organized.
Once you have proven to yourself that you can succeed in this one area, it is then a matter of extending your efforts to gradually mastering other weaknesses such as procrastination, pack rat tendencies, perfectionism and so on.
Organization is a slow process but the rewards are well worth the effort.
so one should always try to be punctual.

I'm a fanatic about punctuality. Being late puts me in a rush and drains my energy for the rest of the day. I tend to pay my bills way before they are due. My mortgage payment is paid a month early. By doing that, if there is ever an emergency and I need the money, I can go back to paying on time.

I have always been punctual in my business. But in some very unimportant matter, I find myself always late.

Punctuality is the best. If it's for work, it will show your respect for the client and also shows them that you put utmost importance into the meeting. If it's social, then it also shows that you respect your friend to be punctual

Punctual! I'd rather be early than keep anyone waiting for me. But my hubby's a last minute person and invariably late. We fight about it all the time and still haven't been able to find a middle ground on this one. But I still feel I'm right on this issue.
I'm very organized about things and even though I don't expect everyone to be as organized as I am...I do expect them to respect my choice when they are around me just like I would respect their's when I am around them.

This is something I am working on. I try very hard to be punctual, but sometimes I take on too much work at one time and then I start running behind. It can take me awhile to get back to being organized.

I don't like being late, and I don't like others being late. I have a friend that I have to tell to meet me 30 minutes before I want her to meet me. I always pay my bills early. My credit is precious. I have very good credit and don't want it ruined.
