I read a discussion this morning about Associated Content and now I am more and more curious. Who has earned from them? How much do you make per article? How long are your articles? Did you have reviews, news articles, opinions or what? I would love to get a feel for it so I know what to expect. Thanks so much.

Did they tell ya why it wasn't accepted? Usually they will give a reason such as the title, length or what not. I know I had to re-work a title to make it more catchy and alo easier to e picked up on search engines.
I wouldn't call any writing a waste of time tho. You just may have to work on it a little more, or find another place to use it.
Best wishes

Lately I have been making about $3 to $5 an article (upfront), plus performance pay. Not all your articles will be accepted for upfront payment, but if you write well and find topics that there aren't a lot of articles on already then you can make money upfront. It has been a long time since I wasn't offered something upfront for my articles. If you want more info check out my profile and blog (link found in profile).

I write for AC. I also submit to Helium and Triond, so I can say I am please there. I've sold two articles for upfront payments. One was a little over $3 and the other was $4...bt both contine to earn for page views. I can say their page view system is better than helim's, not quite as good as Trionds...if that helps.
Bot of these articles were 3-5 pages, typed, double spaced...as for word cont, I couldn't tell ya. I wrote the papers for college classes, and thought they would do well there...and by golly they did...double credit! One was on computer crimes and the other is a literary evaluation. I've got a few others there as well, for display only...poems, personal pieces, and self-help type things. They are not doing remarkably well, but still earning me bits.
Good luck!

I have written different types of articles on AC. I haven't been publishing there to long because I normally publish on Helium, but I have started posting on AC more because they offer upfront payments. I have had two published for up front payment and I got 3.67 for one and 1.57 for the other. I would recommend them.

I'm not a US citizen, so I can't tell you much about the upfront payment aspect of AC, as it's only available to US citizens. For your first few articles, AC does taken longer to review your articles compared to other writing sites like Helium and Triond. Expect them to take a bout a week. After you have had 3 articles published though, you can opt to forgo the upfront payment and have it published immediately. I mainly use a AC's "display-only " option to publish my Helium articles, as both sites claim non exclusive rights to your articles, meaning you can still publish them elsewhere. I just got $10 from AC for submitting at least 5 articles for a contest they held in July. Other than that, it's been mostly a few cents per day for page views for me. Most of my articles were around 400-400 words, covering a range of topics.
