I often come across a mylotter whose frequent topic is a big question with her life why she is poor, or why there are rich people and she is poor...
This is what I can say to her:
Please, do not question your fate.
For me, being rich or poor has nothing to do with the happiness we get from life.
If you want to be happy, it doesnt mean that one has to be rich first.
No matter how much money we have-if we are not contented of what we have, we will never be happy.
So for me, if we are contented---we can be happy.
no matter, how many books about get rich schemes you will read, or how many chinese fung shui statues you put around your house, if you are not contented with what you have, you will never be happy.
I just have one tip though:
always live below your means. living below your means mean, avoiding begging from friends and relatives, avoiding debts-or utang in Filipino.
consider family planning-less children to support mean happy, educated children.
buy things according to capacity.
we cannot blame anyone why we are poor...just work hard, and live below your means...

I agree with you: One has to be happy first, and then other things can follow.
Happiness to me is loving what one has instead of being sad for the things one does not have.
I do not mean to sound as one should not want things but that like you one can work towards those things and one might as well be happy getting them than unhappy and miserable.
I like yout thinking.

Your post mentions the secret of happiness.even otherwise happiness is a state of mind.so even rich people dont have happiness in their lives always.enjoying life is an art and one has to balance the important values and realities to achive it.

yes-happiness can be achieved even with out so much money...sulking about the condition of having money-to the extent of begging wont achieve anything.thank you

That is very wise advice. If you always live below your means you will always live in comfort. You will not have to stress about not being able to pay your bills if you live below your means, because your bills should be no problem for you. If you live at or above your means every little situation that pops up regarding money is going to cause you distress. Plus if you live below your means you are able to put money in to savings in case of a financial emergency arises.

No,I dont accept this.
Now we are in 21st century(i mean we are very much developed now).I think there is no meaning for the word FATE in today's world.
How many would believe in FATE?
So,just dont think about the word FATE but i believe in the famous quote "One should enjoy ehat one does in life".

Yes there are specials on tv of those who make more then 100,000 are poor. They have at least one home and a vacations home, more then one expensive car and just spend beyond their means. And their are those who make as little as 30,000 and they are wealthy. They don't buy things they can't pay for (credit), they are frugal but still live well. Save for retirment all that.
My grandmother didn't believe in credit she always told us, if you can't pay for it right away don't get it!
And if you're unhappy, job, marraige, try to make it better but if you can't - change it - its never too late. Don't question your fate - saying why me - change it if you want! Choose another hand pick a wild card~

I agree with this and I always set msyself up for the worse that way IF anything is a let down I am not disappointed , depressed or angery about it.. this may not work for everybody but it works best for me.

I agree with everything you have said, chingbeem. Acceptance helps you get the most out of life, instead of always wondering why other people have more and have become more successful. Living below your means is excellent advice - and never spending money you don't have. Being unhappy all the time can also make you ill, as bitterness festers inside you. If you are happy, decent and honest in your dealings with others, good fortune will tend to find you - that's karma.

Very good topic. I always think like this why in this world there are people who have got everything. They are ric, beautiful, educated etc etc...What you told is absolutely right. we should be contented in our life then only we can be happy. But its very difficult to be like. In one or the other situation I am tend to think like that. But I always try to spend according to our capacity. Thanks buddy..

glad to be of help-yes, you are right too that to be contented needs so much effert especially living in our very materialistic worl...money seem the only thing that matters,we can just try to be happy.
