Some people will raise an eyebrow whenever they saw a fat people walking pass, while some kids and teenagers will joke about them. Sometimes, being fat will help to stand out from the crowd for the wrong reason.
Does being fat equal to committing a sin? Does fat people really deserve this kind of judgment?

Hello Sanjana_aslam,
That is an interesting point of view, thanks for sharing. Well, eating well does equate to well taken care of, or I should say too well taken care of. But I think Asian need to change that kind of thinking, especially if they want to live longer and healthy. Being fat is like being a host to diseases.

i'm fat..and i don't think it is a sin. i honestly not happy of the fact that i'm fat. but at my age today, it is harder to shed of some pounds than when i was still younger. some people (who are not fat) consider fat people to be gross. this is not so nice for them to do so. they are judging the fat people just of how they look. fat people are still people who deserves to be respected as well.

Hello chubzlife,
Yes, I agree that there are some people who are not fat consider fat people who are gross, and I cannot stand those people who have this thought in their mind. Nevertheless, people tend to have judgment for those who are different from who they are. I guess it will take some time before fat people will be respected.

Being fat is not a sin. I am overweight and I try to lose weight. I do not gorge myself when I eat, I used to have a desk job all day long and never got the chance to exercise. Plus I gained alot of my weight after having 4 children and a c-section for each one. It is very hard to lose weight for me. Also, many women in my family are overweight so I think it is a genetic thing on my part.
Have a great day and happy myLotting!!

I don't think fat people deserve to be judged or made fun of at all. They are not healthy and it's a problem. Gluttony and slothfulness is a sin but with some people that are obese it is genetic. Not taking care of your body is a sin, so it depends on whether these people have this problem genetically or are just eating too much.

No, the differences in physical appearance should not cause us to discriminate them. We should help them in their quest to reduce weight, if they're on it, instead of laughing and ostracizing them. They need empathy more than anything else.

No, i dont think so, I dont think that there are statements in bible or even books of other religions that being fat is a sin.
Well, lets just say that poeple love perfect and beautiful and being fat is'nt beautiful that's why some discriminate them (not all).

Actually no. Some will by fat in their genetic way. I actually pity for them. What can they do if their mother, grandmother and the older generations were fat. They can't reduce much also. Other than those people its good for them to reduce. Over weight is not good for health. They can take that comments in a positive way and reduce their weight which is good for them.
