I read one statement very recently as "If you're egoistic you can not be a team leader ???? But as per my own experience, all team leaders are egoistic. they never accept or admit their own mistakes. do you agree with me ???

No you do not have to be egoistic to be a good team leader. Be good at you job and show your team members the way, share your thoughts with them, encourage them and stand by them. They will respect you and give you the support you want. That in my view is good team leader.
