HI,friends i have a problem in my Dvd drive
it writes the cd and reads the cd but its also reads the Dvd the problem is it cant writes the emoty Dvd when i insert empty Dvd it shows no empty
Anyone can me solution for this i will reward u as marking as best response.

well friend....i think you need to update your drivers.....search for the drivers of your writer and also the latest versions of your writer's brand.......download the latest version's drivers and install them...i think your problem will be solved....else if you are using nero,just reinstall the software or install a latest version.i hope that your problem will be solved mostly.bye....gud luck

As u said i will try i am using nero 6 only which is the best one and from where should i get tell me the site.
I add u in a positive manner i hope u do the same .
If my probelm is curied i will sure mark you as best one

Well you can read and write cd's and you can read dvd's now what the problem might be is the dvd itself there is always a chance that those disks are bad even though they are new

No the disk i have bought just a new one and if my writer as problem it should write cd also but it does?
Anyway i add you as positive as you replied its is rectified i will mark you as best i hope you too will add postive to me .

try reconnect the cable. i mean ide cable. might be a faulty one i think. and if its not working try to reinstall win xp or win vista. ur nero or other writing software might be in error.

ok i have already reinstalled my Xp so there is no problem with my OS. Now as u said i will do reconnect the cable and check its its work i will mark you as best one
