i wanted to know-can the same person post twice in the same discussion?
will this be any violation to the rules of mylot?

same discussion? copy and paste is really not applicable here in mylot. Every discussion is copyrighted so you can't copy and paste it. Well, if you post two discussion by typing it again and again, it's up to you. I haven't tried it but I guess it doesn't violate any of the mylot rules.
