Sweden's Ara Abrahamian is disqualified and stripped of his bronze medal for Thursday's tantrum. disqualified and stripped of his bronze medal Saturday for dropping the prize in protest after a disputed loss at the Beijing Olympics. They say he violated the spirit of the games. His is one of 3 mmedals removed. I think this was the right thing to do. What do you think? Will he regret his behavior?

I hope he does. And I hope people calmly pronounce him a poor sport and try to forget about him. You aren't always going to like the calls made in any sport, but I've seen some athletes in the Olympics get burned and they handle it will style. There was this girl on the balance beam that bobbled four different times in her performance and still got the bronze. I thought that was pretty bad, but I didn't see anyone throw a hissy fit over it.

I don't think he will regret it right away. He will maintain his pride about not wanting the medal for a time. But he doesn't realize what team would want him after a display like that. Sure he didn't get the medal he wanted this time, but there's another Olympic four years away. He could have gotten better and got it this time. He shouldn't have looked at it as a disrespect, but an indicator to get better at what he does. Now no team will want him, and it's very unlikely he will get another chance at any medal.

I think it was absolutely the right thing to do. He embarressed his country and insulted the other competitors. What happened to good sportsmanship? If he had an issue with the judging of his match their are proper ways to handle it. His coaches could of filed a complaint and then it would of been reveiwed. To go up and throw a little temper tamtrum and throw your medal on the ground is unacceptable. What about the gold and silver winners? How do you think they felt? He took their moment away from them. And as long as I can remember it was considered an honor to participate in the Olympics and represent your country. I know everyone wants to win gold but to tell the world you came for gold and because you didn't win you don't want anything. What a baby!

I agree, it was the right thing to do. How immature can you get? Thousands of people would give their right arm just to be in the Olympics. This guy won a medal. He's a complete moron to just throw it away like that. He'll probably regret it, when he looks at how stupid he was. I know I would.
