Is the freedom of expression sometimes harm? or not?

I'm a big fan of the news. Everytime I watch it, I find it that the media is really fighting to get their freedom of expression when they're accused of being biased to the news. In my life, I find this kind of freedom sometimes hurt people. Is this kind of freedom that we can enjoy? and how can I know where's the fine line that divides between my privilege and my social responsibility?

there are times when people overuse the freedom of expression. they think that freedom of expression means that you can just say anything that you wanna say without thinking about it first. freedom of expression for me comes with responsibility. these days, people just say everything that's going on in their brains, hurting people in the process. this is not the proper exercise of freedom, i consider it misuse.
