I am wondering why my score had been subtracted? Is it from deleted discussion or rating issue? share what you know about rating and score of the responses and discussion. Mine is 45 now. Last night, I had 45 and lateron had 44 until I posted two discussion and it went up to 45 again. Can anyone explain to me more about score and rating.

I do not understand them better as well and really do not bother much. But I suspect few negative feedbacks on your discussions may spoil your ratings. But I think it is difficult to please everybody in this big community. So carry on without bothering for them much.

Actually you are referring to two completely seperate things. The number next to your name is your post count...that is the number of countable posts you've made. Countable posts are: Discussions you've started with at least one response, your first response to a discussion another user started, and your first comment to another user's response on another user's discussion.
Sometimes posts get deleted for a variety of reasons and that number can decrease. Make sure you've read the guidelines so you can help avoid deletions.
As for the rating...you do not know your rating yet. You will not know what it is until you get your star after your 100th post. Others use the + - and ! buttons to rate your posts. The more +'s you get the higher your star will be. 10 is the highest, 1 is the lowest visible star. It is possible to have a rating lower than one but it is r are and those users have over 100 posts but no star.
